AB, AS forceps are designed to make maximum purchase on the remaining crown structure, superior to the gum-line. The open tipped, parallel beaks include cross-serrations on the first 5mm of the tips and a cut-away to adapt to the height of contour, which helps prevent fracture of the often broken down and brittle crown.
